Privacy
What jtsapps.com keeps, and why. What you put into a tool is kept by that tool, and its own privacy page says what it keeps.
Who looks after your data
jtsapps.com is run by JTS, a small software business based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, USA. For anything about your data, write to jt@jtsapps.com. A person reads every message.
What is kept, and why
- Your account: your email address, your business name if you gave one, and your password, stored only as a one-way scrambled form that cannot be turned back into the password.
- Whether you have paid: your plan, its dates, and the reference Stripe gives the payment. Your card number goes to Stripe, never to JTS.
- Your JTS account: which JTS tools you use, so one sign-in opens them all, and anything you list or sell through jtsapps.com.
- Messages you send us, so we can answer them.
What is never done with it
It is never sold, never used for advertising, never shown to another customer, and never used to compare you with anyone.
Who helps us run it
- Fly.io runs the servers, in Dallas, Texas, USA, where your data is stored.
- Stripe takes card payments.
- Google Workspace carries the email we send you and the email you send us.
- Google Fonts supplies the typeface on our public pages, so Google sees your internet address when it sends it.
- Cloudflare answers the lookup that turns our web address into a server address. Your visits do not pass through it.
Cookies and visit counts
- One cookie keeps you signed in, and a short-lived one is used while you move between JTS tools. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
- We count how many times each public page is opened, as plain numbers per page per day. No cookie is set and no internet address is kept for this.
How long it is kept, and your choices
- Your data is kept while you have an account, so it is all there if you stop paying and come back.
- Ask, and we send you a copy, correct it, or delete your account and everything in it. A deletion is done within 30 days; copies in our backups are overwritten in the normal backup cycle after that. Payment records the law makes us keep are kept for as long as it says.
- Where the law in your country gives you more rights over your data, we honor them.
- jtsapps.com is made for businesses and adults, not for children.

On jtsapps.com itself
- Your JTS account: your email address, the display name you chose (if any), your password as a one-way scrambled form, and which JTS tools are on your account under which email address. Each signed-in browser is kept as a session with the kind of device it is (for example “Phone” or “Windows PC”) and when it was last used, until you sign out; changing your password ends every other session.
- Emails about your account: when you ask to reset your password, we send a link to the address on the account; it works once and for one hour. When your password or sign-in email is changed, a note goes to the address it had before, so a change you did not make does not go unseen.
- When you start, pay for or stop a JTS tool, that tool tells jtsapps.com your email address, your business name and what happened (and any feedback you send from inside it), so JTS sees it in one place. Nobody outside JTS sees that list, and it is cleared after 90 days.
- The trade box: when you type a trade, the words you typed are counted, so we can see which trades are missing and add them. Only the words and how many times they were typed are kept — not who typed them.
- Selling on the shop: the name you sell under, what you wrote about yourself and your tools, your sales and the share sent to you, and the reference Stripe gives your account. Stripe asks you for your identity, bank details and tax details directly (Stripe Connect); JTS never sees your bank details. Sales records are payment records, so they are kept for as long as the law says.
- “Rather ask first?” on the selling page: your name if you gave it, your email, what you wrote, and your internet address.
- The Lineup company code on the sign-in page goes straight to Lineup. jtsapps.com does not see or keep it.
- “Email me when it opens” on a tool that is not open yet: your email address, the tool and your internet address. We write to you once, when the tool opens, and then delete it. It is not used for anything else.
- The contact page: your email address, your message and your internet address, kept for 90 days.
- Stopping guessing: to limit how often one caller can try a password or send a form, the internet address (or the email address tried) and the time of each try are kept for 24 hours.
- The website examples on the front page are shown from Sitework (sitework.jtsapps.com) and load only when you open one.
