Terms
These cover jtsapps.com: your JTS account, the tools JTS makes, and the shop where other people sell theirs. Each tool's own terms page adds what is particular to that tool.
Who you are dealing with
jtsapps.com is made and run by JTS, a small software business based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, USA. In these terms, “JTS”, “we” and “us” mean that business, and “you” means the person or business using jtsapps.com. Questions about anything here: jt@jtsapps.com.
Using jtsapps.com
- Keep your password to yourself. What is done with your account is your responsibility, so tell us right away if you think somebody else has it.
- Use it for your own business, lawfully. Do not try to break it, get into other people's accounts, copy it wholesale or resell access to it.
- Only put in information you are allowed to use.
Your data is yours
- What you put into jtsapps.com belongs to you. We use it to run jtsapps.com for you and for nothing else. It is never sold, never shown to another customer, and never used to compare you with anyone.
- Ask and we will send you a copy, correct it or delete it. A deletion is done within 30 days, apart from payment records the law makes us keep.
- The privacy page says exactly what is kept and who helps us run it.
Paying
- Card payments are handled by Stripe. JTS never sees your card number.
- A subscription runs month to month (or year to year, where a yearly price is offered) until you stop it. Stop any time: a JTS tool from its own settings or account page, a tool somebody else sells here with one button on Your tools. It ends at the close of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.
- If a price ever goes up, we email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you.
- Payments are not refunded, except where the law says otherwise or a plan's own page promises a refund. The free days are there so you can try a tool on your own figures before you pay anything.
Estimates, not advice
The figures a JTS tool works out are estimates, made from the numbers you give it. They are not financial, tax, legal or accounting advice. What you charge, pay, file or sign is your decision; check anything important with a qualified professional.
What we promise, and what we cannot
- We work to keep jtsapps.com accurate, safe and available, and we fix what is reported. We cannot promise it will never have an error or an outage, so it is provided “as is”, without other warranties, as far as the law allows.
- As far as the law allows, JTS is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for jtsapps.com in the 12 months before it.
- If we ever close jtsapps.com, we will email you at least 60 days ahead and give you a way to take your data with you.
Ending, and changes to these terms
- You can stop using jtsapps.com at any time. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or is not paid for, telling you first where we reasonably can.
- If these terms change, the new version goes on this page with its date. For a change that matters to you, we email you before it applies.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, USA. Nothing here takes away rights that the law where you live gives you.
Last changed: October 8, 2026.
Prices, free days and refunds
- Every monthly JTS tool you sign up for yourself starts with 14 days free. No card is asked for to start, and nothing is charged when the free days end — you only pay if you choose to. Every price is on the pricing page.
- Sitework has three plans. Starter is $29 a month and starts with 14 days free, no card. Own It is $499, paid once, with hosting included and no monthly fee; JTS looks the site over before it goes live. Custom is built by JTS from what you describe: from $2,500, half before work starts and the rest before it goes live, plus $149 a month for changes and support. Own It and Custom have no free days. Sitework's own terms say the details.
- Box 12 Helper is paid once for each tax year — $49 per company, or $199 for a bookkeeper, for every client company — and its one-worker calculator is free.
- No refunds after the free trial, except Sitework Own It: your money back in full while your site waits for JTS to look it over, and for 14 days after it goes live (see Sitework's terms). Where the law where you live gives you a right to a refund, you have it.
- A monthly tool keeps going until you stop it: a JTS tool from its own settings or account page, somebody else's tool with one button on Your tools. You keep it until the end of the month (or year) you have paid for and are not charged again.
Buying somebody else's tool
- There are two kinds of tool here. The ones with the JTS mark are built and run by JTS. The rest are built by other people and listed under their own name — the page for one says whose it is, every time.
- You pay JTS either way. So if something is wrong with a purchase, JTS is who you ask, not the person who built it.
- Somebody else's tool gives however many free days its seller chose, and its page says so before you start; some give none. Without free days, read its page before you buy: the no-refunds rule above applies to it too.
- Somebody else's tool is supported by them. They built it and they know it. If they stop looking after it, tell us — a listing that is not being supported comes off the shop, and anything monthly you are paying for it is stopped, so you are not charged again.
- What you type into it is handed to nobody but the seller whose tool you are using.
If you are selling
- You keep 85% of every sale made on JTS — of what the buyer actually paid, not of some figure after fees. The card fee comes out of JTS's 15%, not out of yours. JTS takes nothing from anything you sell anywhere else.
- Being on the shop is free to opt into and free to opt out of. Putting a tool up costs nothing, and neither does taking it down: one button on its page takes it off the shop, and another puts it back. While it is off, nobody new can try or buy it. People who already bought it here keep it, and their payments carry on through JTS on these same terms until they stop them.
- The lowest price is $20. Card fees take about 3% plus 30 cents of every sale (Stripe's standard US card rate), so under that there is not enough left in one to support what you built.
- You are paid the moment it sells. Your share is sent to your Stripe account as soon as a sale comes in — there is no holding period — and Stripe moves it into your bank on its usual payout schedule. Anything that sells before your Stripe account is set up is sent the moment it is.
- You choose how many free days a buyer gets — none at all, or up to 60 — and can change it whenever you like; it applies to anybody who starts after the change. A free trial asks for no card and ends on its own. JTS's own tools give 14 days, and the shop gives no refunds after the free days, so a few free days is the fairest way to let a buyer see yours works for them first.
- If a buyer's bank takes a payment back, your share of it comes back too. A bank can reverse a card payment in a dispute, and JTS is the one it takes the money from. If a dispute is opened before your share has gone out, it waits for the outcome. If one is lost after it has gone, your share of that sale is taken back through Stripe — or, if it cannot be, out of your next sales. The same goes for a refund the law makes us give. A dispute that is won changes nothing. Either way you can see it on your Getting paid page; nothing is taken without it showing there.
- Getting paid needs a Stripe account in your name. Stripe asks you for your own details directly; JTS never sees your bank details. Stripe also handles your tax form.
- Your first tool is free to put up. The free plan holds one tool; a paid plan takes as many as you like. A monthly fee is only for more tools and for things that cost money to run: keeping a tool awake rather than letting it sleep between visits, more room, and a bigger machine. The share of a sale is the same on every plan: a fee buys running costs, never a better cut.
- Every listing is read before it goes on the shop, and can be sent back with a reason. A tool already on it can be taken off if it stops working, stops being supported, or turns out not to be what it said — and you would be told why.
- Your tool is yours. You keep the copyright. You can stop selling here altogether whenever you like and take it with you — get in touch and it is done; buyers on a monthly plan are told, and are not charged again.
- What will not be listed: anything that is not yours to sell, anything that collects more from a buyer than it needs, and anything that asks a buyer for a password over plain http.
- If these terms change in a way that matters to money, anybody selling here is told before it takes effect.
