Built something for your own trade?
Most of the useful software in a trade is written by somebody already in it, for themselves, and never goes any further. Sell it here — you bring the tool, JTS sells it, and your customers just open a web page.
Your first tool goes up free. A monthly fee only comes in for more tools and the things that cost money to run.
You sell under the same JTS account you'd use for anything else here — one email, one password. If you haven't got one, the next screen makes it.
How it works
You keep 85% of every sale made here.
JTS takes 15% of purchases that start on JTS, and nothing else. The card fees come out of that fifteen, not out of your eighty-five, and whatever you sell anywhere else is yours alone. Being on the shop is free to opt into and free to opt out of: one button takes your tool off, one puts it back, and anybody who already bought it here keeps it either way.
Running it is not your job.
Each seller tool runs on a machine of its own on JTS's side: its own address, its own certificate, its own disk, and if one falls over at seven on a Sunday morning, it is JTS that gets the call. You hand over the container image; JTS runs it.
Your first tool is free.
No card and nothing to cancel. A paid plan takes as many tools as you like and pays for what costs money to run — keeping a tool awake so nobody waits, more room, a bigger machine. The share of a sale is the same on every plan.
Your customers just open a web page.
There is nothing for them to download and nothing to install, so it works on a laptop, a phone in the cab or the tablet on the counter. And when you fix something, it's live for everybody the next time they open it — nobody gets stuck on an old version.
You decide how long the free trial is.
Anything from none at all to 60 days — it's your tool and your trade, and you know better than anyone how long somebody needs with it before they'll pay. A free trial takes no card to start and ends on its own. JTS's own tools give 14 days, and there are no refunds on the shop after the free days (except where the law says otherwise), so a few free days is the fairest way to let somebody see it works for them first.
You're paid the moment it sells.
The buyer pays JTS, so you never have to set up your own payment system — you press one button and Stripe asks for your bank details itself. Your share is sent to your Stripe account as soon as a sale comes in, with no holding period, and Stripe moves it into your bank on its usual payout schedule.
Built for one trade, priced to match.
Not a note-taking app — the tools here each answer one specific question for one specific trade, and that focus is worth paying for. There's a $20 floor, since card fees take about 3% plus 30 cents of every sale (Stripe's standard US card rate), so under $20 there isn't enough left in one to support what you built.
Every tool says whose it is.
Anything wearing the JTS mark was built by JTS and is backed by it. Yours is listed just as clearly under your own name — so a buyer always knows whose work they are getting, and the credit goes where it is due.
